Life Worth Sharing

1 minute reading time

What non-material wealth would you pass on?

We are not the sum of our possessions but the net total of our experiences

Life Worth Sharing is where we celebrate what makes us smile (MMS) and life lessons not learnt in school (NLS).

MMS – Made Me Smile

The best way to choose what to keep and what to throw away is to take each item in one’s hand and ask: “Does this spark joy?”

If it does, keep it. If not, dispose of it.

This is not only the simplest but also the most accurate yardstick by which to judge.

– Marie Kondo

Globally renowned guru of keeping things tidy i.e. bringing the essential to the fore, Marie Kondo’s delightful turn of phrase is also relevant to MMS.

  • Music, Videos, Images, Quotes that elicit a “YES” from your very soul
  • Anything active
  • Anything tasty
  • Memories with friends & family
  • Memories with a significant other

Almost any format or topic will do – if it sparked joy in you, share it and it might spark joy in others too. The world needs more of that right now.

Like begets like, and MMS is inherently good energy.

PS it’s not just what you like, but why you like it.

Perhaps it was the song playing when you had your first kiss. The year your team did the double. Your best friend’s wedding.

Context makes the memory special.

NLS – Not Learnt in School

Life hacks, insights and useful perspectives acquired away from the national curriculum.

Sometimes a short essay. Sometimes a long essay or a video.

Most of the time, a meme. If the Buddha, Socrates or Marcus Aurelius were around today, they’d be all over that meme action, for real. Hashtag keepin it deep (sic).
